Sustainability
Sustainability is not an extra – it is our standard
We are convinced that beautiful design and responsible action must go hand in hand. With every product that leaves our house, we ask ourselves the question: How can we improve? Be more resource-efficient, more transparent, fairer? For us, sustainability starts not only with shipping but from the very first idea, the first material, the selection of our partners. We want to offer furniture that not only looks good but is also good for the environment and for the people who use it – today and in the future. For this, we continuously question our processes and consciously set higher standards than legally required.
Certified fabrics – skin-friendly, tested, and durable
The fabrics we use meet high standards—not only visually, but also in terms of environmental and health standards. Many of our covers are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified and comply with the REACH Standard of the European Union.
This means: they are tested for harmful substances, skin-friendly, and are manufactured under strict guidelines. Especially for furniture that is used daily, this is crucial for us. Because we want you to not only feel comfortable, but also to be sure that your home remains free of questionable materials.
For us, sustainability begins where materials are selected – and that is precisely where we make no compromises.
Wood from European forests – responsibly sourced
Wood is one of the most valuable resources we are privileged to use. And that is exactly why we treat it with the respect it deserves. For our furniture, we exclusively use wood sourced from sustainably managed forests within Europe. Our suppliers are certified, monitored, and operate according to the principles of ecological forestry – meaning: for every tree cut down, a new one is planted, animal habitats are protected, and the natural balance of the forest is maintained.
The decision to use European wood is not only for ecological reasons but also social: We avoid long transportation routes and CO₂-intensive supply chains. At the same time, we strengthen regional structures, secure jobs, and collaborate with partners who share our values – fair, transparent, sustainable. If you have a piece of furniture from us at home, you can be sure: It embodies true responsibility.
Conserving resources – even with returns
In the furniture industry, it is common to simply dispose of returns – due to cost reasons, time pressure, sometimes out of convenience. We do it differently. Every returned product is individually checked by us: Is it fully functional? Can it be refurbished? Can it be repackaged and resold? Often, the answer is: Yes.
In these cases, the product is carefully cleaned, refurbished, and repackaged by our team. Minor defects are repaired, missing parts replaced – thus, it does not end up in the trash but gets a second chance. For you as a customer, this means: less resource consumption, less environmental impact, more responsibility.
We are proud that not a single refurbishable piece of furniture is wasted with us. This process takes time and effort – but it is worth it. Because every cubic meter of packaging material saved, every component salvaged, every product that is reused, is a small contribution to a greater cause.
Handcrafted in Europe – with attention to detail
Many of our furniture pieces are created in small European workshops – far from mass production or anonymous assembly line work. In close collaboration with experienced artisans, we bring designs to life that impress with quality, precision, and personality. Each piece is the result of genuine handcraftsmanship, made with great attention to detail and a deep understanding of materials and shapes.
These partnerships are not only economically important to us—they are a central part of our identity. We support local craftsmanship, ensure fair working conditions, and deliberately shorten our production and delivery routes. This enables us to combine high-quality furniture with a low ecological footprint—without compromising on individuality or style.
A Promise to You – and to Our Future
Sustainability is more than just a label or a marketing promise for us. It is deeply embedded in our corporate philosophy—from product development and material selection to logistics and customer service. We know that every decision counts. And we want you to be able to choose our products with a clear conscience.
Whether it's a sofa, bed, or side table – with us, you get not only quality and design, but also a piece of responsibility. Responsibility that we are happy to bear. For you, for us, for tomorrow.
